Terms of Service

The practical rules for using Hosteero’s rental-property operations software.

Effective October 7, 2026

Important
  • Hosteero organizes information; it is not tax, legal, or accounting advice.
  • You remain responsible for reviewing records and filings.
  • Keep your account secure and use the Services lawfully.
  • You can stop using Hosteero and delete your account at any time.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Hosteero (“Hosteero,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our websites, applications, and related services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. The Services

Hosteero provides tools for organizing rental-property income, expenses, bank-fed transaction data, property records, and tax-preparation summaries. Features may change as we improve the Services. We may provide beta or early-access functionality that is still being evaluated.

4. Your data

You retain ownership of information you submit to the Services. You grant Hosteero a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that information solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services. You represent that you have the right to provide the information and authorize its processing.

5. Connected services

Features may connect with third-party services such as Plaid, authentication providers, booking platforms, or file providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third party’s service, availability, or acts. You may disconnect supported integrations through the Services.

6. Not professional advice

Hosteero is software, not a tax preparer, accountant, attorney, financial adviser, or fiduciary. Reports, classifications, projections, Schedule E-style summaries, and other outputs may contain errors or require professional judgment. Review your records and consult qualified professionals before making financial, tax, or legal decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • use the Services unlawfully or to infringe another person’s rights;
  • submit malicious code, probe security, or interfere with the Services;
  • access another user’s account or misrepresent your identity;
  • reverse engineer the Services except where law expressly permits; or
  • use automated means to abuse, overload, scrape, or resell the Services.

8. Fees and future offerings

Hosteero may offer free, early-access, donation-supported, or paid features. Any price, renewal term, and cancellation condition will be disclosed before you purchase. We will not charge you without authorization. App-store purchases, if offered, are also subject to the applicable store’s terms.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Hosteero available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. When reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes that reduce core functionality.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk, or use the Services unlawfully. Provisions that by nature should survive termination do survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Hosteero disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hosteero will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from the Services. Hosteero’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Hosteero in the preceding 12 months or USD $100. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New York will have jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by email. Questions can be submitted through Hosteero Support or emailed to support@hosteero.com.
